Brown Butter Glazed Carrots with Basil


INGREDIENTS:

6-8 LARGE CARROTS PEELED AND CUT EVENLY
2 TBS BUTTER
3/4 TSP SUGAR
6 LEAVES FRESH BASIL CHOPPED

DIRECTIONS:

1. BOIL CARROTS IN SALTED WATER FOR APPROX. 10 MINUTES, DRAIN WATER FROM POT, ADD SUGAR AND STIR. KEEP WARM WHILE WORKING BUTTER MIXTURE.

2. SAUTE BUTTER IN SMALL PAN ON LOW HEAT UNTIL IT TURNS A RICH BROWN COLOR, USE SMALL SPATULA TO SCRAPE BUTTER DOWN THE SIDES OF THE PAN WHILE BROWNING.

3. ADD CHOPPED BASIL TO BUTTER AND REMOVE FROM HEAT.

4. POUR BUTTER MIXTURE OVER CARROTS AND SERVE HOT.
